I perform mold investigation and project management myself, but I thought this company has an interesting approach. http://moldhawaii.com/about.html . Please note my company is Boyette Environmental Services and Testing (BEST) , www.hawaiimold.com is the only the title of this blog. Their company is Mold Hawaii. Two completely unreleated companies. Keeping all that straight? Good!
In any event, I thought there usage of a trained dog (Buster) to sniff out mold is a rather good idea. A good application for instance where mold is believed to be present but there is no visual cues to identify the source, in this case the dog would be a good, non-destructive way to locate the mold. Besides its a cute dog how could you not like that!
Coupled with some targetted sampling, and a proper course of cleaning, abatement, or restorations it certainly could be a winning combination. This isn’t an endorsement as I don’t personally know them or their work, but it certainly sounds like it could be a good idea in some cases. Again its a cute dog, hard to not say something nice!
